Children at Poolsbrook Primary Academy have planted a fruit tree in honour of the Queen’s Jubilee.

The apple tree was donated to the school by B&Q and has, with the help of the academy’s able Site Manager, Mr Andrew Krzysztofik, been planted in pride of place at the front of the academy building.

Louise Parker, Head Teacher said, “As a school we wanted to honour the Queen’s services and mark this special occasion. We will maintain and care for the tree which we hope will thrive and be here for many more generations of children to enjoy.”

Poolsbrook Primary Academy are planning further events during May including a celebratory Jubilee lunch and afternoon tea for children, parents and carers to enjoy.
