Children of Bilsthorpe Flying High Academy’s Key Stage 2 school choir have been bringing some Christmas cheer to staff and visitors at Kings Mill Hospital this week.

The school choir were invited to sing Christmas carols at Kings Mill Hospital on Friday to raise money for the hospital’s charity. Children gathered to perform in front of the Christmas tree in the lobby for the enjoyment of staff and visitors to the hospital.

Bilsthorpe Flying High Academy year 5 teacher, Olivia Key said, “It was so lovely to see the children enjoying themselves during this wonderful opportunity to contribute positively to the wider community. Christmas can be a difficult time for many people, but the choir definitely spread lots of festive cheer, putting a smile on people’s faces.

“At Bilsthorpe Flying High Academy, we pride ourselves on giving pupils extra-curricular opportunities, allowing for their full potential to grow. I am so proud of the choir children for their hard work and dedication during rehearsals, and their confidence shone on the day of our performance; they definitely spread lots of seasonal cheer!”
