Over 500 people attended a spectacular firework display held at Blue Bell Hill Primary School on Gordon Road in Nottingham this week. Money raised by the event will be used to support educational trips for pupils at the school.

Visitors enjoyed a vibrant array of food and drink stalls at the event, with crowd favourites including chips, mushy peas, and hotdogs. Sweet treats like candy floss added to the festive atmosphere, while traditional fairground attractions such as hook-a-duck, Bottlebola, tombola, chocbola, face painting, and light-up wands kept children entertained. The evening concluded with a dazzling firework display that lit up the skies and brought the celebrations to a spectacular close.

Making the most of the fun was Euan, who is a year 5 pupil at the school. Euan said, ‘The fireworks were amazing they made the sky so colourful, and I won lots of prizes!’

Local businesses also added to the fun by sponsoring the fireworks event, supporting the school’s fundraising efforts to support experiences for children.

Rebecca Martin is Head Teacher at Blue Bell Hill Primary School and she said, “What a wonderful evening this was! Our families are just amazing, and as ever they rallied to support our event. We were thrilled to have over 500 visitors on the night, and the event was a huge success thanks to the support of our wonderful school community.

“I would also like to say a huge thank you to local businesses who helped to make the evening go with a bang by sponsoring our event. We are so grateful to Lightning Protection UK Ltd, Home not Hospital and Complex Care Choices who by sponsoring our fireworks display, they have ensured that the money we raised on the night can go directly to supporting our children’s educational experiences.”
